Driver Crashes Car into Creek After Losing Control

The 22-year-old Plainfield man was not injured and was not charged with any crimes.

OSWEGO, IL — A 22-year-old Plainfield man was left uninjured after he drove his car into a creek.

Oswego spokeswoman Cathy Nevara said the man, of the 5500 block of Meadowbrook St., was traveling southbound on Route 30 when he lost control of his car around the 1300 block in Oswego.

He fishtailed and went into the northbound lane then off the road and ended up in the creek.

A witness called the accident in and the man was able to get out of the car himself, which wasn’t submerged. He was not taken to a hospital.

The man did not receive any charges and Nevara said the accident was not weather related.

“He just kind of lost control of the car,” Nevara said.

The estimated damage was put at more than $1,500.
