Drunken Driver Had Children in Car: Police

OSWEGO, IL — A woman driving under the influence of alcohol had two children in the car with her when she was pulled over.

Lynn R. Laskey, 37, of the 1600 block in Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence, endangering the life of a child, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane use and disobeying a traffic control device.

According to Oswego Public Information Officer Cathy Nevara, the ages of the children in the car with Laskey were approximately 6 and 8. Laskey was pulled over at Rt. 30 and Rt. 34. at around 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20.

Nevara said she was unsure what the blood alcohol content of Laskey was, but said it was at least above .08 percent.
