Elderly Woman Injured in Chain Reaction Crash in Oswego
A 35-year-old Chicago man was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

A semi tractor trailer driven by a 35-year-old Chicago man caused a chain reaction accident that injured one woman, according to a release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say Francisco Gallegos, of the 5500 block of S. Kilbourn Ave., was driving a semi tractor trailer on the 5000 block of Rt. 34 in Oswego Oct. 21 when he struck the real of a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old Oswego man, who subsequently struck the rear of a vehicle being driven by an 81-year-old Montgomery woman.
The man and woman were slowing down due to someone attempting to make a left turn into a driveway. The 81-year-old had two passengers in her car, one of whom, a 78-year-old Montgomery woman, had to be taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash.
Gallegos was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
