Oswego man sentenced on domestic battery charge.

Domestic battery sentence

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials reported Matthew Robert Gramza, 59, of the 5300 block of Half Round Road, Oswego, was sentenced on July 20 for a recent domestic battery - insulting or provoking a peace officer charge, that took place on July 13. He was sentenced as a weekender.

Domestic Battery

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials say deputies responded to the 100 block of Harbor Drive at 3 p.m., July 20, f0r a domestic battery incident. KCSO reported an argument between two people who were formally in a relationship turned physical. Officials say the victim wasn't cooperative and the investigation continues.

Saturday, July 21

Hit and run

Oswego Police Department officials say they're investigating a hit and run that took place in a McDonald's drive thru located at 339 Douglas Road at 2:31 a.m., July 21. Police say Steven L. Weaver Jr., 27, of Oswego, was driving a two-door sedan when a car described as a silver Mitsubishi Lancer with a bent front license plate reading DL3755F hit Weaver's. Police reported damage is less than $1,000 and there were no injuries.

Driving while license revoked

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials say deputies performed a traffic stop on a car in the area of Long Beach Road and Ingleshire Road at 3:18 p.m., July 21. KCSO reported that after some investigation, the driver, 37-year-old Julian Garcia, was arrested and cited for driving while his license was revoked, before being released on his own recognizance. Officials say Garcia was also cited for disobeying a stop sign and not having any proof of insurance.

Property damage

Oswego Police Department officials reported someone damaged a bench at Prairie Point Elementary School, 3650 Grove Road. Police reported the complaint was made by a citizen at 8:17 a.m., July 23. Damage is reported at $400.
