When Trumpeter Michael Brozick (Chicago), Harpist Nichole Luchs (Plano), and Oboist Margie Arito (LaGrange Park) decided they wanted to pool their amazing musical talents, they wanted to do more than just entertain themselves and community. They wanted to use their musical gifts to give an additional gift, so they chose to create “Lyrical Interludes”, a recital to benefit Normal Moments, a local 501(c)(3) non-profit providing supportive services to over 250 families in the greater Chicagoland area with children who are medically fragile and/or critically ill. This very special performance event takes place Saturday night, June 8th, 7 PM at the Oswego Village Hall located at 100 Parkers Mill (Rte 31 and Rte 34), in Oswego. The recommended minimum donation is $10 per person and a dessert reception with the musicians and Normal Moments’ founder, Patricia Fragen (Naperville), follow the performance.
This evening promises a selection of light, fun, and gentle tunes to uplift the heart and sooth the soul. Donations will serve the same purpose for Normal Moments families who will be given the opportunity to spend more quality time as a family when they need it most. Musical selections range from the beautiful Quiet City by Copland to Vivaldi’s Concerto in A Minor (Allegro movement) and Purcell’s Trumpet Tune, amongst many other works. The event is being sponsored by the Fox River Academy of Music & Art.
