Expert on Heirloom Vegetables Speaks to Garden Club
Garden Club gets ready for Veggie Planting

Hilltop Gardeners look to Ed Max of Max’s Greener Places in Winfield for advice on growing Heirloom vegetables. Max has more than thirty years of experience in landscaping, has a Naturalist certification from Morton Arboretum and is an expert on Northern Illinois flora and native plants. The program, “Veggie Patch: Growing Heirloom Vegetable and Saving Seeds,” was developed from Max’s experience in his own gardens and offers information and techniques for the best results in gardening.
The meeting is on Thursday, April 14 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Little White School Museum, 72 Polk Street in Oswego. Everyone is invited and there is no cost. Email vgierhart@aol for information. We are on Facebook.
