OSWEGO, IL — An Oswego residence in the 1700 block of Route 34 caught fire Saturday morning, causing around $12,000 worth of damage.
According to the Oswego Fire Protection District, the call came in around 11:41 a.m. and the caller stated that there were visible flames. The response was upgraded to a general alarm at 11:45 a.m. Upon arrival, crews made an “aggressive interior fire attack” and put out the blaze. Damage to the residence and contents are estimated at $12,000, according to the OFPD.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
