Fireworks Likely to Blame for Oswego House Fire
The fire broke out early Monday morning.

OSWEGO, IL — Fireworks may have been the cause of an Oswego house fire early Monday morning.
According to the Oswego Fire Protection District, crews received a call at 12:04 a.m. for a fire in the 100 block of Laurie Lane.

Prior to arrival, all occupants of the house had left after a fire broke out on the rear exterior of the home.
A neighbor began extinguishing the fire with a garden house and crews used around 10 gallons of water from an extinguisher to control the fire.

Damage was contained to the exterior of the home and no injuries were reported.
Upon investigation, it was determined that fireworks were a possible cause. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
