Former Oswego Lowe's Store Becoming Family Fun Center

The store closed in 2011 and will find new life as an entertainment venue with bumper cars, rock climbing walls and more.

OSWEGO, IL — Gravity 34, a family entertainment venue with trampolines, bumper cars, go-karts, laser tag, rock wall climbing and more will open up shop in a shuttered Oswego store in the Prairie Market development. Village trustees recently granted a special use permit to the business, which will open at 2408 Route 34.

The 25,000 square foot venue will be located at the west end of the former Lowe's store, next to Burlington. According to village documents, the venue will employ about 70 people. The same company also operates a similar family fun center, Jak's Warehouse in Schererville, Indiana. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The Lowe's store closed back in late 2011, eliminating 96 jobs in Oswego.
