Gas Price Update: Oswego Prices Continue To Skyrocket

OSWEGO, IL — Throughout March and into April, gas prices continued to decrease in Illinois. But now in May, that's no longer the case. In Oswego, prices continue to increase from previous weeks.

As of Wednesday, the average price for gas in Illinois is about $4.92 per gallon, according to AAA. That's up 15 cents from the week before and 58 cents from a month ago.

At around $4.97 per gallon in Kendall County, gas prices were slightly above the state average.

Nationally Friday, the average was about $4.57 per gallon.

With prices as high as they are, you can still save a little bit if you know where to look in Oswego.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Oswego is selling for $4.72 per gallon at Delta Sonic Car Wash, 1924 Route 34. Here is what other stations around town are charging:
