Gas Price Update: Oswego Prices Continue Steady Decrease
The average price for gas in Kendall County was about $4.17 per gallon Thursday. Here's where to find the cheapest gas in Oswego.

OSWEGO, IL — Feeling slight pain when looking at prices per gallon of gas has become the new normal as of late. But as high as prices are, they continue to fall, even if only little by little.
While prices in Illinois remain high, the average price for gas is $4.52 per gallon as of Thursday, according to AAA. That's 21 cents cheaper than a week ago and 79 cents lower than the average a month ago.
At around $4.17 per gallon in Kendall County, gas prices were well below the state average and veering closer to the national average, which has also fallen to $4.13 as of Thursday.

But it's possible that a slight uptick in gas demand could end the steady drop in prices, according to AAA.
"We know that most American drivers have made significant changes in their driving habits to cope with high gas prices," Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson, said in a statement Aug. 1. "But with gas below $4 a gallon at nearly half of the gas stations around the country, it’s possible that gas demand could rise."
