This is just a short post to let you know that effective today, I will no longer be your Local Patch Editor.
This morning myself and many of my colleagues found our positions eliminated in a restructuring move made by AOL and Hale Global.
As of right now, I do not know what will happen to the Oswego and Yorkville Patch sites that I have been in charge of. The sites should remain live so you can continue to read and comment on previous articles and blogs.
You should also still be able to post to our event calendar, blogs and boards though, if you like.
I just want to say it has been an absolute pleasure to work with all of you and serve the Oswego and Yorkville communities over the past year.
Thank you all for your kind words, your story ideas and for making the Patch a place to go for community news. I couldn't have done it without all of you.
I'm looking forward to the future and whatever challenges it may bring. If you happen to know of anyone hiring in the writing/editorial/communications/PR/social media field, feel free to drop my name!
I'll still be living in Oswego so this isn't quite a good-bye. You'll likely see me around town, on the Fox River Trail (come spring, mind you) and attending events (because Oswego has so many great ones!).
Thank you all for your support and being a reader of the Oswego and Yorkville Patch.
All the best,
Natalie
