Headliners for PrairieFest 2015 Announced
The three-day fest returns to PrairieFest Park on June 18.
As Oswego digs out from one of Chicagoland’s top 10 snowstorms of all time, here’s a sure sign that spring is on its way: The Oswegoland Park District has announced the performers for PrairieFest 2015, set for June 18 to 21 at PrairieFest Park, 91 Plank Drive.
This year, the Saturday night headliners will be Canadian rocke band Loverboy, known for its ’80s hits including “Working for the Weekend” and “Turn Me Loose.”
Friday night headliners Vertical Horizon are known for hits “Everything You Want” and “Best I Ever Had.”

Here’s a rundown of the 2015 musical lineup:
Thursday
Starting things off on the first day of the fest will be the PrairieWinds Community Band concert. Anyone who wants to be part of the show should contact Ginny Bateman at gbateman@oswegolandpd.org.

Cover band Sixteen Candles will also take the stage Thursday, bringing an ‘80s dance party to PrairieFest.
Friday
Grammy-nominated children’s entertainmer Dave Rudolf will take the stage at noon on Friday.
On Friday night, cover band Red Woody will perform classic to current rock and pop, followed by Vertical Horizon.
Saturday
Illinois native Nick Lynch is set to perform on Friday. Lynch is a country crossover artist, covering hits by Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, ZZ Top and Tom Petty.
After Lynch’s performance, Loverboy will take the stage.
