Heavy House Fire Causes $250K In Damages: Oswego FD

Oswego firefighters responded to a house on Willowwood Drive North around 10:30 p.m. Saturday and quickly brought the fire under control.

OSWEGO, IL — A heavy fire erupted at a two-story house on Willowwood Drive North Saturday night, causing an estimated $250,000 in damages, according to Oswego fire officials.

Firefighters responded to the residence, in the 0-100 block, around 10:30 p.m. to find a fire blazing on the second floor and into the attic. Officials said crews were able to contain the fire and quickly bring it under control.

No occupants or fire personnel were injured. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to officials.

Firefighters from the Plainfield Fire Protection District assisted at the house. During the fire, the Oswego fire station was covered by crews from Plainfield, Sugar Grove and Bristol Kendall fire protection districts.
