Hilltop Gardeners share club information

Ways to volunteer include the club's traditional request for residents to donate their divided perennials for the May plant sale.

Pictured are some of Hilltop Gardeners club members at Oswego’s first OswegoConnects event on March 11, which was created by the Village to help residents connect with organizations that offer fun activities as well as much needed volunteer opportunities.

(l-r) Carol Hayner, club Second Vice President, is also chairperson for several of the club’s community events. Esther Jamison heads up the club’s annual plant sale, which will be on Saturday, May 13. Esther is currently seeking anyone in the community who would like to divide and donate their perennials for the plant sale (email ejamison2@comcast.net). Jill Hughes is the newly elected club President and the person who coordinated Hilltop Gardeners’ participation in OswegoConnects.

In the picture is a handmade quilt, one of the raffle items at the plant sale. Also raffled is a hand-painted rain barrel and a large flowering shrub.
