Home Fire Causes $50K In Damages: Oswego Fire Protection District

The district reported the cause of the fire was not suspicious.

OSWEGO, IL — A home fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage in Boulder Hill Monday, May 11, according to the Oswego Fire Protection District.

In a press release, the fire district said firefighters were dispatched at 8:08 p.m. to a home in the 0-100 block of Roulock Road, for a reported fire.

"Upon arrival, the initial fire company found a fire in the kitchen of the home. Fire crews initiated an aggressive interior attack and quickly brought the fire under control," the release said.

The homeowner was out of the residence prior to the arrival of the firefighters, and no injuries were reported.

The release also stated that the cause of the fire was not suspicious in nature.

Oswego Fire was assisted by both Sugar Grove and Montgomery Fire Departments, providing station coverage during the incident.
