Hunt Club's New Principal to Start July 1

OSWEGO, IL — Community Unit School District 308 has promoted a proven District 308 administrator to replace the outgoing principal at Hunt Club Elementary School.

The Board of Education approved Hunt Club Elementary Assistant Principal Patrick Haddock for the Hunt Club principal position at its Feb. 8 meeting. Haddock will replace outgoing Principal Ryan Anderson. Haddock will officially assume his new role on July 1.

“Patrick is a talented administrator who has a proven track record as a dynamic team leader with a student-first mentality,” Associate Superintendent for Administrative Services Dr. John Sparlin said. “I am happy that we were able to promote Patrick Haddock to principal at Hunt Club where he will continue to play an instrumental role in the success of School District 308.”

Haddock began his teaching career in 2003 as a fifth grade teacher in Clermont, Fla. He relocated to Illinois in 2007 where he taught fifth grade in Community Unit School District 301 at Lily Lake Grade School for four years and then at Country Trails Elementary until his departure in 2013. From 2010 to 2013, Haddock also served in an administrative designee’s role to the principal.

Haddock joined School District 308 in 2013 as Fox Chase Elementary School’s assistant principal, a position he held for one year before accepting the assistant principal position at Hunt Club.

“I am honored and humbled to be the next principal at Hunt Club Elementary School,” Haddock said. “I look forward to the opportunity to serve as an instructional leader to the dedicated staff while actively collaborating with all members within the community to ensure that we continue to make a difference in the lives of the students at Hunt Club Elementary School.”

Haddock earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University, Aurora, Ill., in 2010, and a bachelor’s degree in Geography from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

Prior to his career in education, Haddock worked as a senior sales manager for Marriott, Sheraton, and Radisson Hotels International in Orlando, Fla.
