Hydrant Flushing Planned Into September In Oswego
The routine process allows crews to check water flow and encourage high flow to clear any sediment from the water system.

OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Public Works Department will be flushing hydrants throughout the village starting Monday and continuing into September, officials said.
The routine process allows crews to check water flow and encourage high flow to clear any sediment from the water system.
To alert residents, signs will be posted before work begins. Crews recommend residents avoid using washing machines while flushing takes place and allow cold water to run until clear if it is discolored at first.
