OSWEGO, IL — Icy road conditions, according to Oswego police, are the reason one car rear-ended another on Route 34 Saturday.

Two cars, a sedan driven by a 20-year-old Montgomery resident, and a coupe, driven by a minor, were driving east toward Heritage Road on Route 34 around 3:57 p.m. The Montgomery woman was stopped at the intersection when her car's rear bumper was hit by the coupe, which couldn't stop in time because of the ice on the road, according to police.

Police said the woman was minorly injured as a result, and the minor was uninjured. No vehicles were towed from the scene, according to police.
