After submitting your FAFSA, you may be asked to verify income as parents and well as the student applying. You will need to go to the IRS web site
http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript
and after establishing a sign-on, you can print the “Tax Return Transcript” for the respective year requested. Or you can order the transcript by calling (800)-908-9946. You may be asked to fill out a “Verification-Dependent Form A” as well, and send in copies of the student’s W-2’s forms and parent’s W-2 forms.
