Indecent Exposure Reported In Oswego: Police

Oswego crime reports for Sept. 20 through Sept. 24, 2018.

OSWEGO, IL —

Monday, Sept 24

Hit and run

Oswego police said they're investigating a hit and run crash where someone hit a parked vehicle between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., Sept. 23, before fleeing the scene at the Jewel located at 2540 Route. 30 and Douglas Road. Police said the incident was reported at 10:13 a.m., Sept. 24 and there are over $1,500 in damages.

Indecent exposure

Oswego police said they're investigating an indecent exposure incident reported by a 58-year-old female from Plainfield that took place at 4:30 p.m., Sept. 24 at Route 31 and Mill Road. Police said the suspect is described as a white male, age 45 to 50, with a possible tattoo on his left bicep and wearing nothing.

Domestic battery

Police are investigating a domestic battery incident reported at 8:16 p.m., Sept. 24 at 654 Lincoln Station and Route 30. Police said the incident is said to have occured at 6 p.m., Sept. 22 and involved a 22-year-old Oswego male and an 18-year-old Oswego female.

Sunday, Sept. 23

Retail theft

Oswego police said a 16-year-old male from the 1200 block of 4th Avenue, Aurora, has been charged with retail theft after stealing more than $307.96 in property from a retailer at 2500 Route 34 and Heritage. Police said the juvenile was arrested at 1:10 p.m., Sept. 23, nearly 30 minutes after the theft took place and was reported.

Saturday, Sept. 22

Hit and run

Oswego police said they responded to a report of a hit and run at 2946 Route 34 and Pearces Ford at 5 p.m., Sept. 22. Police said 23-year-old Brandon Gonzalez, of Montgomery, had his motorcycle legally parked and an unknown vehicle hit it, causing more than $500 in damage. Police ask anyone with information regarding this case to please contact the Oswego Police Department at 630-551-7300.

Revoked license, state warrant arrest

Oswego police said Veronica G. Jordan, 29, of the Laurel Drive, North Aurora and Unique J. Marshall, 19, of the 2400 block of Roxbury Lane, Montgomery, were arrested at 11:50 a.m., Sept. 22 at Route 34 and Pearces Ford. Police said Jordan was charged with driving while license revoked and not wearing a seatbelt, and the other female on an in-state warrant charge.

Friday, Sept. 21

Speeding, driving while license suspended

Oswego police said 20-year-old Latrell A. Sparks, of Aurora, was arrested at 10:38 a.m., Sept. 21 at Route 30 and Fifth Street. Police said he was arrested on scene and taken into custody on charges of driving while license suspended, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. His court date is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Oct. 24.

Thursday, Sept. 20

Harassment

Oswego police said they took a report for harassment by electronic device at 1525 Harvey Road and Wolf Road at 8 a.m., Sept. 20. Police said a 14-year-old female juvenile was reportedly being harrassed by another juvenile on social media.

Battery, controlled substance

Oswego police said Isaiah M. Thurmond, 24, of the 700 block of Gillette Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 7 a.m., Sept. 20 for an incident in the 300 block of Ogden Fall Blvd. Police said Thurmond was taken to Kendall County Corrections where he's being held on bond for charges of domestic battery, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. His court date is tbd, police said.

Theft

Oswego police said they're investigating a theft of construction materials from a site located at 129 Dorset Avenue and Colchester Drive that took place between Sept. 12 and 19 and was reported at 8:57 a.m., Sept. 20. Police said more than $2,300 worth of materials were stolen.

Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
