It’s Christmas Eve…where should I go to church?

For ages, people come to church or back to church on Christmas. It’s a ritual of the season. In between the eggnog, dinner and the presents is an hour at church for a little reminder of the reason for the season.  You might be surprised to know that the pastors of the churches in and around Oswego have been gathering weekly to pray for the community, plan a community gathering and joint time of serving the community. The Church isn’t as divided as everyone thinks. The reality is we have come to understand we all have a single purpose: to glorify the Lord, connect people to Him and “do life” in a way that is honoring of Him.

Sure, we have slightly different interpretations of God’s Word, the implementation thereof and even the manner of worship.  We even admit in the past, some would use these differences to define what is right and wrong. However, the world has changed. We all have access to so much theological information it’s easy to see how different groups can feel strongly about certain practices, but it doesn’t mean we don’t believe in the one true God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We do.

It’s the reason the churches of Oswegoland are coming together to invite you, the family and your friends to church on Christmas Eve. We have an abundance of styles of worship at all different times. Our only request is that you consider coming to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
