OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police's month-long speed enforcement campaign in July yielded a total of 180 tickets, officials said Wednesday. The Oswego Police Department joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois in an effort to reduce highway fatalities, officials said. During the campaign, Oswego police issued: <ul><li>151 speeding tickets</li><li>11 seat belt tickets</li><li>11 distracted driving tickets</li><li>7 other traffic violation tickets</li></ul> Officers also made four arrests. The Illinois Department of Transportation administered the federal traffic safety funds that paid for the campaign.

Sunday August 16th&nbsp;Junk in the Trunk Morris will hold an outdoor
flea market at our Morris Plaza home. Our independent vendors will be
open for business from 9AM until 3PM, offering shoppers a wide
variety of items at excellent prices. The Morris Plaza is located
behind Walgreens at 100 West Commercial Drive, a block west of
Division Street which is IL Rt. 47. If you would like to be a vendor
in Morris on August 16th, or at any of our upcoming events in Morris,
Gardner or Mazon it is not too late as advance registration is not
required. Simply arrive at 8AM, pay the $15 vendor fee, and take an
available spot. Vendors with small trailers are welcome without an
additional charge, and there is no admission fee for shoppers.
Proceeds from vendor fees received at this event will be donated to
the Goose Lake Prairie Partners. Junk in the Trunk Morris would like
to thank the Morris Department of Public Works for providing trash
