July Speed Enforcement Results In 180 Citations: Oswego Police
Oswego police spent July enforcing driving laws as part of IDOT's month-long speed safety campaign.
OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police's month-long speed enforcement campaign in July yielded a total of 180 tickets, officials said Wednesday.
The Oswego Police Department joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois in an effort to reduce highway fatalities, officials said.

- 151 speeding tickets
- 11 seat belt tickets
- 11 distracted driving tickets
- 7 other traffic violation tickets
Officers also made four arrests.
The Illinois Department of Transportation administered the federal traffic safety funds that paid for the campaign.
