Kendall Board Member Removed From Forest Preserve Committee
Tony Giles was removed after failing to attend meetings.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Kendall County Board member Tony Giles was removed from the Kendall County Forest Preserve Commission's operations committee this week after failing to attend meetings, according to WSPY.
Giles, who was replaced by board president Judy Gilmour, did not attend Tuesday's forest preserve commission meeting or a subsequent county board meeting. According to WSPY, he has not attended a county board meeting since April 3 and hasn't attended any operations committee meetings this year. The committee's May meeting was cancelled due to lack of a quorum.
Giles teaches at social studies Oswego East High School and cannot attend daytime meetings. He represents District 2 on the Kendall County Board since 2016. Prior to that, he served on the Oswego Village Board for eight years before running unsuccessfully for mayor in 2015.
