Kendall Co. Coronavirus Update: 517 Cases, 20 Deaths

The total number of cases went from 497 on Wednesday to 517 on Thursday.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — In a news release on Thursday, May 14, the Kendall County Health Department reported 20 more confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the county total to 517.


County health officials also reported that 265 are in recovery, and the death count remains at 20.

The most recent deaths were reported May 12. Among the deceased were two males in their 50s-60s and two females in their 60s-80s, "all of which had health complexity," county health officials said in the Tuesday release.

The Kendall County Health Department is asking community members to take care of themselves, and others, to deal with stress.

"Helping others cope with their stress can also make your community stronger," the Wednesday release said.

Ways to cope with stress may include:

  • Leave the screen, get outside and enjoy nature
  • Take care of your body
    • Take deep breath and stretch
    • Eat healthy, well-balanced meals
    • Exercise regularly
    • Get plenty of sleep
  • Make time to unwind and do some other activities you enjoy
  • Be kind to others during this time of uncertainty
  • Connect with others by talking with people you trust about how you are feeling
