Kendall County Nonprofits Can Get Up To $25,000 Under New Grant

OSWEGO, IL — Local not-for-profit organizations impacted by COVID-19 are eligible to receive up to $25,000 in grants from the Kendall County Board, Oswego officials said Monday.

The Board was recently granted $1 million from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which has been made available to local qualifying organizations. Applications for grants will be accepted until Oct. 27 on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Kendall County Non-Profit Grant Program is meant to help organizations whose revenue was reduced or who had increased expenses as a result of the pandemic. In order to qualify for a grant, nonprofits had to have operated in 2019 and 2020, filing federal tax returns both years, according to Kendall County officials.

An application for the grant program can be found on Kendall County's website.
