Kendall County Sheriff's Office Completes Sex Offender Checks
Checks result in seven charges.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office currently oversees 43 sex offenders required to register under the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act, and 5 individuals required to register under the Violent Offenders against Youth act.
Starting in January of 2015, quarterly checks are completed by Sheriff’s Deputies in the Patrol and Investigations divisions, to ensure they are abiding by the requirements of their registration. Prior to this year, the checks were completed annually. As a result of these checks during the first quarter of fiscal year 2015, five of these individuals were found to not be in compliance.

By completing these checks on a more frequent basis, we are able to better fulfill our mission of protecting and serving the citizens of Kendall County.”
