Kendall County, IL (June 3, 2021, 4:00 PM)
The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office has hired three new deputies to fill vacancies in the Patrol Division. Samuel Markusic, Braden Lentini, and Katherine Young were sworn in on June 3rd, 2021 by Sheriff Dwight Baird.
Deputies Markusic, Lentini, and Young will be attending Basic Police Training Academy beginning June 21st for 14 weeks. Upon completion of the academy, they will be paired with experienced field training officers for a rigorous 14-week field training program.
Deputy Markusic studied at Lewis University and Aurora University, where he received his degree in Criminal Justice. Deputy Lentini studied at Benedictine University, where he received his degree in Criminal Justice. Deputy Young has studied at the City Colleges of Chicago and the College of DuPage.
