Kendall County, IL (November 5, 2021, 8:00 PM)
On March 29, 2021, Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Detectives received information based on a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that an online user was disseminating child pornography. Detectives initiated a criminal investigation into the NCMEC tip. During the investigation, numerous subpoenas were obtained to determine the identity of the user.
On November 4, 2021, detectives from the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant pursuant to the investigation.
As a result of this investigation, the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office approved charges against Jeremiah Mize, a 38-year-old male from the 8100 block of Whitfield Rd in Millbrook. He has been charged with seven counts of Child Pornography. Three of the charges are Class X felonies for dissemination of child pornography and the other four are Class 2 felonies for possession of child pornography.
Mize was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office awaiting a bond hearing on November 6, 2021.
