2021-3087, DUI: On 10/30/21 at 4:39 a.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Route 71 and East Highpoint, Kendall Township for a report of a crash. During the investigation, Derek Kowalski, a 53-year-old male from the 300 block of DeSoto Street in Ottawa was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.  Kowalski was transported to the Kendall County Jail without incident.  

2021-3087, DUI

2021-3088, No Valid Driver’s License:  On 10/29/21 at 4:05 p.m., Yuriczi Benavidez a 30-year-old female from the 300 block of South Union Street in Newark was cited for no valid driver’s license after being involved in a traffic crash on Route 71 at Timbercreek Drive, Kendall Township. 

2021-3089, Harassment Through Electronic Communication:  On 10/30/21 at 7:11 p.m., sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 11300 block of Brighton Oaks Drive, Kendall Township for a report of harassment through electronic communication.  The incident is under investigation.

2021-3096, DUI:  On 10/30/21 at 11:01 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to the 0 to 50 block of Leisure Lane, Oswego Township, for a report of a property damage crash.  Upon investigation, Oscar A. Castillo, a 20-year-old male from the 700 block of E. Downer in Aurora was taken into custody for DUI.  Castillo was transported to the Kendall County Jail for processing.

2021-3097, No Valid Driver’s License:  On 10/30/21 at 11:05 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to Douglas Road and Collins Road, Oswego Township for a report of a property damage crash.  The drivers of one of the vehicles involved, Alexa D. Gaither-Perez, an 18-year-old female from the 700 block of Gates Street in Aurora was cited and released for no valid driver’s license.
