Kifowit to Host Drug Abuse Awareness Discussion

To address concerns over media reports of increased drug use in the community, state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, is hosting a panel discussion with the Illinois State Police and several local organizations focused on drug abuse prevention, treatment, and education on Thursday, December 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Eola branch of the Aurora Public Library.

“As a parent, it is especially troubling to hear reports of increased drug use in the area and to know that our children and teenagers may be exposed to dangerous and potent drugs,” Kifowit said. “I invite anyone concerned about drug abuse in our community to attend this discussion to see how they can help combat this issue, learn about new developments and tips for families, and help keep drugs out of our neighborhoods.”

Kifowit represents the 84th District, which includes Aurora, Boulder Hill, Montgomery, Naperville, and Oswego. For more information, or to RSVP, please contact Rep. Kifowit’s constituent service office at 630-585-1308, email Stephanie.Kifowit@att.net, or visit www.ILDistrict84.com.
