KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR 2016-17

Registration dates for the 2016-17 school year.

Oswego, Ill. (Feb. 3, 2016) — It is time to register Community Unit School District 308’s youngest students.

Children who will be 5 years old by September 1, 2016, will need to register for kindergarten for the 2016-17 school year. District 308 kindergarten registration will be held February 16-25. Early registration will allow District 308 to confirm kindergarten placement (morning, afternoon, or full day) and your a child’s specific school assignment in a timely manner.

Registration will take place at Oswego East High School (OEHS) between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Please park in the east lot and enter through door 22, located in the rear of the building.

Registration is on a walk-in basis at OEHS. Parents should register their child on the date that coincides with their child’s school:

  • Tuesday, February 16: Churchill and Grande Park
  • Wednesday, February 17: Fox Chase and Old Post
  • Thursday, February 18: Hunt Club and Prairie Point
  • Monday, February 22: Southbury and Wolf’s Crossing
  • Tuesday, February 23: Lakewood Creek
  • Wednesday, February 24: Long Beach and The Wheatlands
  • Thursday, February 25: Boulder Hill and Homestead


Don’t worry if you are unable to make your school’s scheduled registration date. You can register your child on any of the dates listed above regardless of your child’s specific school assignment.

To register your child, you will need his or her original birth certificate, a photo I.D. of the parent registering the child, three proofs of residency, and a completed registration packet. To obtain a registration packet, you can contact the school your child will be attending and request that one be mailed to your home, download the packet from our website at www.sd308.org, or stop by your child’s school or the district office to pick up a packet.

You are not required to bring your child to registration.
