Lane Change Ends in Airborne Car
The Oswego man hit an embankment which sent the car flying.

A 52-year-old Oswego man took to the skies Thursday after his vehicle struck an embankment and went airborne, according to a release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
Gelasio Campos, 52, of the 100 block of Dolores St. in Oswego, was traveling northbound on Rt. 31 in Oswego Township when he attempted to change lanes and sideswiped a vehicle driven by Jeffrey Donahue, 44, of the 2200 block of Jason Dr. in Montgomery.
Campos left the roadway and then struck an embankment which caused his vehicle to go airborne, police said. He landed on a private drive in the 600 block of Rt. 31.

Campos was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora for his injuries. He was also cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Donahue was uninjured. He was cited for no valid registration plates.
