Light My Fire: Local Author to Give Presentation on The Doors

OSWEGO, IL — Local author Jim Cherry will discuss his book “The Doors Examined” at the Oswego Public Library July 12.

Cherry will take attendees through the history of The Doors and offer insight into the band. In addition, he will have an audio/video presentation.

“The Doors Examined” starts at the band’s beginning and goes through the death of Jim Morrison in 1971 and the band’s journey after.

“For all the books on The Doors out there, this is one of the better ones,” said an Amazon.com reviewer.

Cherry is also the author of novels “Becoming Angel” and “The Last Stage.”
