Lineup For This Summer's Movies Under The Stars In Oswego Unveiled

OSWEGO, IL — For the second summer, Venue 1012 will be packed with an array of activities for Oswego residents to enjoy.

Among the events will be the return of Movies Under the Stars. This year, the village is planning to screen three family favorites as part of the series.

On select Thursdays, residents and guests can pack up their seats of choice and head to Venue 1012, located at 1012 Station Drive, to enjoy a free movie in the fresh summer air.

Showings will include:

• June 22: "Minions: The Rise of Gru"
• July 20: "Sonic the Hedgehog 2"
• Aug. 10: "Puss in Boots"

During each event, participants can also play lawn games — bags and giant Connect Four among them — and participate in giveaways. Venue 1012 will open at 6 p.m., and movies will begin at dusk.

Movie-goers can bring lawn chairs and blankets to cozy up with during the show, but tents and canopies are prohibited. Outside food and drink will be allowed into the venue, and food, beer, wine and soda will be also available for purchase.
