Little Shepherd Preschool Open House
Come explore the rooms, get to know the staff and tour our facility.

Little Shepherd Preschool will host their annual Open House on January 30th from 9AM to noon. Come explore the rooms, get to know the staff and tour our facility. We offer passionate staff ready to teach your little ones and get them ready for kindergarten. We provide a quality preschool education aligned with current Illinois early learning & development standards, and with a max class size of 10 students to 2 educators your child will get the attention they deserve and need. With our three part assessment tool, we monitor and encourage growth in several developmental and learning areas making sure you are informed and involved in your child’s progress. Children will achieve the level of expectations set before them by being challenged each day within their capabilities and learn through guided play at their developmentally appropriate levels. With the adoption of the Common Core Standards beginning at the Kindergarten grade level a quality preschool education is more important than ever. It is no longer appropriate for children to simply learn letters, numbers, colors, etc. in isolation. They must develop a deep understanding of concepts and demonstrate that understanding across all areas of the curriculum. At Little Shepherd Preschool, children are introduced to content areas through an integrated approach. This approach promotes real learning and understanding of concepts and ultimately leads to Kindergarten readiness.
