Local Girl Crowned Miss Illinois
308 School district Student won the Miss Illinois Queen title at National American Miss Pageant

A school district 308th student, Emily Vydra has earned the prestigious title of the 2016 National American Miss Illinois at the state pageant held in July. As the state queen, Emily will represent the state of Illinois in various philanthropic and media efforts. In addition to winning state queen, she also took home1st place trophies for Top Model and Miss Personality.
The National American Miss pageants (www.namiss.com) are dedicated to celebrating America’s greatness and encouraging its future leaders. The National American Miss Pageants are based upon inner beauty, as well as poise, presentation and offers an “All American Spirit” of fun for family and friend. Emily will be attending the National pageant to be held in Anaheim California to compete for the National Preteen queen.
Emily attends Bednarcik Junior High and is on the Poms team and involved in Student Council. In addition, she plays the Oboe in the Bednarcik 7th grade band. Emily has been is several school plays aspires to be a successful fashion model and actor.
