Similar to years past, the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run is once again hosting the event in 2023, and among participants is the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. As of Monday, the department raised $1,550 of its $2,000 goal.
"While we’re getting cold just thinking about it, we're excited to join the thousands of warm-hearted individuals who will also be taking an icy dip this winter – all in support of these incredible athletes," officials said. "If you look at it like that, a little cold is worth it – right?"
