Man Dies In Accidental Shooting: Oswego Police
Police say a preliminary investigation points to an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound suffered at his home on Tuesday.
OSWEGO, IL —A 39-year-old Oswego man died at a local hospital after suffering what police believe was an accidental gunshot wound in his home Tuesday night, according to the Oswego Village Police Department. Police who responded to the house in the 800 block of Columbus Drive at around 11:30 p.m. found Jeremy A. Mulder with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Mulder was still conscious, and lifesaving measures were performed at the scene, but he later died of his injuries, police said.
Police are still investing the death, but say the preliminary investigation points to an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
