More Than 40 Authors Attending Oswego Literary Fest

OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Public Library District and the Oswego Cultural Arts Commission are bringing the Oswego Literary Festival to town on Sept. 30. The festival runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oswego Public Library's sidewalk and main floor at 32 Jefferson Street, and will feature more than 40 Illinois authors selling and signing their books

There will also be a raffle, live music, community art exhibit, readings and more.

Make sure to "like" the event page on Facebook for more author announcements coming all throughout September, in addition to previously announced attendee, Oak Park-based Mike Grosso, author.

According to the event page, Grosso is the author of middle-grade novel "I Am Drums," a novel about a girl named Sam who wants to be a drummer but doesn't know how to afford a drum set among other issues she questions. Drums are always in her head and she'd do whatever she can do play, but will the cost of chasing her drumming dream be too high?

You can get your autographed copy of Grosso's novel at the Oswego Literary Festival, as it retails for $16.99, and other books may be purchased from authors. According to the event page, some authors will take cash-only, while some accept credit cards.
