More than $500 In Items Stolen From Target: Oswego Police

An 18-year-old was charged with alcohol consumption in this weekend's Oswego crime reports.

Thursday, Aug. 9

Criminal damage to property

Oswego Police Department officials reported they're investigating a criminal damage to property after a window was broken at Smart Strength Fitness, 3415 Orchard Road, between the night of Aug. 9 and morning of Aug. 10. Police say the incident was reported at 7:47 a.m., Aug. 10. Damage is estimated at over $500.

Target theft

Oswego police said they took a retail theft report at 5:46 p.m., Aug. 9 when a more than $500 worth of items were stolen from a Target located at 3020 Route 34 and Douglas. Police say an investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials reported Michael Dean Boland, 46, of the 1000 block of Route 30, Oswego, was sentenced on Aug. 9 for retail theft charges.

Friday, Aug. 10

Domestic battery

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials reported Esmeralda Vega, 23, from the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East, was arrested for domestic battery after sheriff's deputies responded to the same location for a report of domestic battery just after 7 p.m., Aug. 10. Officials said Vega was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

Harassment

Kendall County Sheriff's Deputies reported they respond to the Public Safety Center for a report of telephone harassment in the 100-1000 block of Fields Drive, Oswego Township that took place at 6:22 p.m., Aug. 10, but was reported at 3:22 a.m., Aug. 12. Officials said the complainant reported receiving unwanted messages. The case is under investigation.

Saturday, Aug. 11

Possession, speeding

Oswego Police Department officials said Victor D. Palomar, 19, of the 4000 block of Cherry Road, Oswego, was arrested at 8:20 p.m., Aug. 11 at Route 71 and Wolf Road on a warrant. He was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, speeding, and a warrant charge. Police said Palomar was taken to Kendall County Jail and posted 10 percent of a $4,500 bond.

Sunday, Aug. 12

Obstruction, alcohol consumption

Oswego Police Department officials reported Tyler J. McMillan, 18, of the 400 block of Treasure, and Molly E. Lee, 18, of the 700 block of Versailles, were arrested at 7:30 p.m., Aug. 12 at Ogden Falls and Raintree. Police said McMillan was charged with obstruction - peace officer, and Lee was charged with consumption of alcohol. Both have a court date scheduled for Sept. 10, 2018, police said.
