OSWEGO, IL — The Village of Oswego said spraying for mosquitoes is scheduled for Thursday evening, July 19. "Spraying begins around dusk, when mosquitoes are most active, and takes several hours to complete, with teams often finishing their rounds at 3 or 4 in the morning," the village said on Facebook. "Because it's a lengthy process, it can be difficult to day exactly where they'll be when."
Anyone who wants to be notified in advance of mosquito spraying in their area can contact Clarke Environmental 800-942-2555. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
"You can help control mosquitoes in your immediate area by calling Clarkeat the number above to report nuisance areas and standing water, and by removing any standing water on your property from bird baths, septic tanks, divets in gravel driveways, etc," the village added. "Even a bottle cap is enough water for a mosquito to lay eggs."
