Mötley Crüe Frontman Vince Neil To Perform Solo Show In Oswego
The legendary heavy metal singer will be headlining VetFest Aug. 28 at the new Oswego Entertainment Venue. The opening act is Nelson.

OSWEGO, IL — You're invited, and your friend can come too, to the Oswego Entertainment Venue Aug. 28 to hear Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil perform a solo show, the village announced Tuesday.
The heavy metal singer will be headlining Oswego's VetFest — a four-day concert series full of music, food and carnival entertainment being held at the new venue at 1010 Station Drive Aug. 26-29. Buying one ticket to the event also buys entry for a veteran, current military personnel, first responder or frontline medical professional.
While Neil has released his own solo music, he's said he expects to perform Mötley Crüe favorites as well, including "Girls Girls Girls" and "Dr. Feelgood."

"It’s an honor to play an event like this for such a good cause," Neil said in a statement. "I have several family members who served in the military, including my father, so a show like this is near and dear to my heart. My band and I are looking forward to performing a fun, energetic and exciting show, performing all the hits."
Rock duo Nelson — comprised of twin brothers — will open for Neil.

The fest is organized by the VetFest 141 Foundation to raise money for local charities that focus on supporting veterans, as well as Oswego School District 308.
Besides Neil's performance on Saturday, Johnny Cash tribute band The Man in Black will go on Thursday night. Country band LOCASH will headline the festival Friday, and local favorites 7th Heaven will close out the event Sunday. General admission tickets for single-night shows start at $10, and four-day passes cost $75.
VetFest is set to be the first big event at the new venue, located off Orchard Road.
"When we first began imagining this space just two years ago, I envisioned the kind of stage that could be both home to our local Oswego talent and a space for other big-name acts to entertain our residents and raise funds for great causes," Village President Troy Parlier said in a statement. "The amazing lineup for this year’s VetFest and the other great community events lined up for this fall are proof that what we’ve built here is truly something for the whole community to enjoy."
