After the crash, first-responders had to extricate a 76-year-old Oswego woman before she was transported to an area hospital.

OSWEGO, IL — Three people were injured after a crash involving three cars happened at the intersection of Douglas and Woolley roads Sunday afternoon, according to Oswego police.

Just before 4:50 p.m., a 76-year-old Oswego woman was driving a small SUV southbound on Douglas Road when she stopped at a stop sign with Woolley Road. At this same time, a sedan, driven by an 18-year-old Oswego woman, was traveling east on Woolley and stopped at a stop sign at Douglas Road, police said.

When the small SUV proceeded to drive through the intersection, a sedan — driven by an 80-year-old Bolingbrook resident — hit the car after disregarding the stop sign, according to police. Officials said the car that was hit then crashed into the sedan driven by the 18-year-old before veering off the road and rolling over.
