Mythical & Magical: The Gardens of Carolyn Finzer
Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club plans field trip for July 14

The next meeting of Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club will be Thursday, July 14, at the home of Carolyn Finzer of Naperville. Members and guests will gather at Hudson Crossing Park at 9:30 a.m. to carpool and will return about 1:30 p.m.
Carolyn, a fifth-generation Naperville resident, has earned fame not only as the local Fairy Lady and storyteller, but as a powerful advocate for conservation and many other causes. She is very involved in natural garden projects and created and maintains a butterfly garden at the Ogden area Post Office entry. Located on her one acre property are several eclectic and artful thematic “garden rooms,” including a butterfly, rain, violet, and fairy garden, a bath house, Japanese cove, bluebird nest area and much more. Her property is certified as an Illinois Audubon Bird and Butterfly Sanctuary. Carol spent almost fifty years in Girl Scouting and is a retired school teacher. Some of her others interests include art, quilting, birding, presentations for children, mythology and studying Native American cultures.
