New Location for Hilltop Gardeners Plant Sale on May 9

The sale will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine.

Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club will hold at its 49th annual plant sale on Saturday, May 9 at Fox Bend Golf Course Pavilion, 3516 Route 34 in Oswego. The sale will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine. The plant sale also includes a raffle and a bake sale. Prizes to be raffled are a handmade wall quilt, a flowering Miss Kim lilac shrub and a garden-themed gift basket. This is the only fundraiser by the Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club and proceeds are used for the beautification and education of Oswego land. Projects include maintaining the Heritage Garden, Boulder Hill entrance berm, the Monarch Way station, and the Blue Star Memorial. The club also plants flower barrels in the downtown area, offers financial assistance to those interested in studying gardening or horticulture, provides educational programs and field trips to anyone interested in gardening and nature and many other projects. Previously the plant sale was held at the Little White School Museum in Oswego, where the club continues to hold its monthly meetings on the second Thursday of each month.
