Oswego Arson: 1 Hurt After Domestic Dispute, Fire

Scanner reports indicated that a person poured gasoline all over the home during a domestic incident.

OSWEGO, IL — One person was hurt in what Oswego police are calling an arson fire after a domestic dispute on Tuesday. Oswego police said officers responded to a domestic incident at around 7:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Dorchester Court in the Lakeview Estates subdivision. Upon arrival, officers found that the home was on fire, police said.

Oswego firefighters were dispatched the home and extinguished the fire. Police said one person was taken to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

"At this time, Oswego Police are working with the Fire Department in the investigation of the incident," police said. An Oswego police report called the incident an arson investigation but did not list any arrests. Kendall County Scanner, a Facebook page that reports local police scanner traffic, said scanner reports indicated a person poured gasoline all over the home "as a result of a domestic issue." A video posted to the page showed thick smoke as firefighters responded to the scene.
