Oswego Brewing Co. Opens This Week

OSWEGO, IL — The grand opening weekend for Oswego's first brewery, Oswego Brewing Co., will begin this Friday. The festivities are from noon to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Oswego Brewing Co., 61 St. Main St. in the "basement" of Oswego's former fire station/downstairs from Oswego Cyclery.

According to the event Facebook page:

Oswego Brewing Co. is proud to announce our Grand Opening Weekend! The time we have all been waiting for is finally here. After much hard work and planning, we are going to open our doors to the public to taste our beer. And when we say "our beer" that is what it truly is - mine, yours, and our neighbors. Without the support we have received from you; we would not be here. This brewery is community driven. So, to give thanks to the wonderful people of Oswego and surrounding communities, please visit us Friday, May 18th through Sunday, May 20th to celebrate and have a beer.

• Friday - Joe's Street Kitchen
• Saturday Day - Firehouse Pizza
• Saturday Evening - Wurst Kitchen
• Sunday - Mobile Cocos Tacos

The Village of Oswego expressed excitement about the grand opening, saying on Facebook, "And we know you're excited, too... Their Cream Ale and New England IPA completely sold out at Wine on the Fox! (Don't worry -- they assure us there's more where that came from.)"

Oswego Brewing Incentives Aimed At Drawing More New Businesses

Since parking is limited, organizers suggest taking an Uber or Lyft to the event.
