Oswego Bunny Hop Set for Saturday

Treat collecting event starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28.

Peter Cottontail will be hopping down the bunny trail all the through downtown Oswego this weekend.

The 16th annual Downtown Oswego Bunny Hop is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, along Main and Washington streets.

The Easter Bunny and his pal, River the Fox, are due to arrive at Garden Faire on a fire truck. Parents are welcome to take pictures of their kids with the Easter Bunny and River, so make sure those cell phones are charged.

Afterward, kids can pet live bunnies, pick up Easter treats at participating businesses, enter to win Easter baskets and more. Kids should also BYOB (bring your own basket) for collecting treats.

Each child must have a map to participate which can be picked up at Second Born Consignment, Lil’ Emms Boutique and the Garden Faire for a nominal fee of $1. Maps will also be available the day of the hop. Proceeds will help support future downtown events.

At the end of the hop, all maps should be returned to Second Born Consignment with the child’s name and phone number to enter a drawing to win two giant Easter baskets (one boy, one girl) donated by downtown businesses.
