Oswego Cop To Join Demolition Derby For Special Olympics
He's close to his goal of $1,500, and the more donations to Special Olympics Illinois he gets, the better starting position he'll be given.

JOLIET, IL -- Oswego Police Officer Mike Torrance will be in the Five-O at the Dirty "O" this Saturday at the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet. The event is one of many that Illinois cops participate in to support Special Olympics Illinois.
The demolition derby will start at 7:15 p.m. Torrance will be driving a car unveiled today by the Oswego Police Department, a sedan made up to look like an Oswego police cruiser.
A Facebook post by the police revealed an "insider's tip." The more money Officer Torrance raises for Special Olympics, the better starting location he'll get at the start of the race.
